As I sit to type my first blog, I ponder about what is the best way to convey our rural life to our customers, many of whom live in the city or many miles away. We are so blessed to live in the beautiful area where we do. In North Idaho, we are minutes from lakes, mountains and forest land. The air and water are fresh and clean, the views picturesque. We raise Toggenburg dairy goats, Suffolk/ Hampshire cross sheep, have a mixed breed flock of chickens, and a couple of hives of bees. We make soaps from the milk our goats provide, and other skin care products from the wax provided by both our bees and from other local apiaries. All of our livestock are pastured in open fields and have a big comfy barn to hide in when the weather turns cold or wet. I hope you all find the blogs from our small 10 acre farm to be an entertaining glimpse into our lives.
