Our Philosophy:
We believe that bathing should be fun. Soap should leave your skin feeling soft, fresh, and gently cared for. That's why we use all natural ingredients like olive oil and essential oils. Each handcrafted bar is guaranteed to be the highest quality. We send samples of each recipe to a panel of testers, and make only the very best available for resale. Before we consider our batches to be fully cured, we pH test each one to be sure that they will provide the gentlest cleansing for your skin. Our goal is to truly know that each bar reaches your hands having been hand made with the most conscientious loving care and attention to quality that we can provide.
About our grass fed lamb and poultry:
Our Farm family prides themselves on being able to provide local, grass fed products to customers who care about the quality of food they provide for their families. Our poultry is free ranged, allowed to naturally grow healthy muscle eating native foliage, bugs and the occasional goats milk curds and whey. Grains fed are from local, non GMO, farmers who nurture the land they farm on. Our small flock of sheep are bred to produce well muscled lambs that grow well on pasture and natural foliage. They spend their days frolicking in the sunshine, grazing and are supplemented with alfalfa or grass hay as needed to ensure quality yield with nigh palpability.
About Our Soaps:
We use cold processing to make each batch, carefully monitoring the temperatures to ensure that all of the nutrients remain in the end product. We use only vegetable oils, such as coconut oil, Shea butter, palm oil, cocoa butter, and olive oil. We never use animal fats or peanut oil. We leave in the natural glycerin that forms during the saponification process that nourishes and softens your skin. (commercial soap companies remove this to sell it) Any extra ingredients such as oatmeal, honey and herbs are high quality, and whenever possible, local and organic. Each batch is hand made, each bar is hand cut and hand wrapped individually, which is the reason each bar is unique. We cure all of our batches well to ensure longer lasting bars.
About Our Farm
Nestled between two mountain ranges in the heart of North Idaho, our farm is home to sheep, chickens, and a small herd of dairy goats. Our dairy goat herd is comprised of does selectively bred to provide large amounts of nutritious milk with high butterfat so that we can use only the very best quality and most nutritious milk available for our soaps. They are given the best of care and feed, grazing freely in the warm summer days of Idaho, and snuggled deep in beds of straw in their barn during the winter. They munch on high quality hay and are fed grain twice a day at milking time. Each doe is hand milked and given special individual care and treatment. We value our does because we know that they provide us with the most important ingredient to provide a unique, skin nourishing product for our customers. The milk is then frozen to await its transformation into bars of luxurious, skin softening soap, lotions and other skin care products.
